New year, New baby

Well, it's 2016!!
So in quick summary, I gave birth to a healthy baby girl in May of last year for a wonderful couple who have become like family to us. Without wasting any time, they asked me, about 6 months into the first pregnancy if I would be willing to carry another baby for them. I told them I would, so here we are again! All the contracts and boring stuff has been taken care of, and I am all set to have the embryo transfer this coming Monday, the 11th of January! We are all very excited, KayLeigh has told me she is worried, but only because at the very end of the pregnancy I spend two days in the hospital, she doesnt like that part, haha. Raigan told me she won't make me carry her up the stairs when my belly is big, it's funny the things kids remember. So I thought I would take this first blog to go over some terms I'll use in my posts, that I have made a resolution to actually keep up with this whole pregnancy! So here are some terms we use in the surrogacy world...

I.P's - This stands for intended parents. IPs are the parents of the baby, the couple who will be taking their little bundle of joy home at the end of this journey.
IM- Intended mother (baby's mom)
IP- Intended father ( baby's dad)
PIO- progesterone in oil. a shot, a big one. that you have to put into the muscle in your butt, I had to do these twice a day for quite some time last surrogacy. they're not so bad in the moment, but they can leave bruises, and can be pretty uncomfortable after a while.
Baby s. - this is just what I will refer to my surrogate baby as from now on :)

Um... I guess that's all I can think of for now, but I'll add to the list as I think of more.
Also I would love to know what you guys have questions about! I didnt know anything about surrogacy before doing this, and I've come to realize that most people dont know a lot about it. So if you have any questions about surrogacy, send me an email, or send me a message on facebook! I'll do another post in a couple weeks answering everyone's questions!
And for now, send me some good thoughts that one (or both) embryos will stick on Monday and we can make a sibling for baby S.!!
